Director of Business Expansion

Sustainment, a public benefit corporation, is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to join its Federal & Defense team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in acquisition, contracting, program management, business development, and/or capture in the defense technology sector. They will be responsible for managing growth activities, including strategy, opportunity identification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and execution.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior executives and customers. They will also be able to identify, establish, and leverage key relationships with senior and mid-level officials and program stakeholders within the Department of Defense. A self-starter with a comfortable working style, they will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Travel will be required, up to 75% of the time.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, Sustainment provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, company holidays, and 401K matching.
