MEP Superintendent

The MEP Superintendent is a key member of our construction team, responsible for the daily operation of a job site. This includes scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. The successful candidate will supervise all direct labor positions on the assigned project and manage contracted work to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
- Coordinate with project managers to determine project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Direct procurement of tools and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of construction issues and progress, including regular updates to supervisory personnel, craft personnel, subcontractors, and clients.
- Resolve complaints and grievances within the project workforce, working closely with supervisory and labor representatives.
- Collaborate with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and construction schedules.
- Manage project progress, adjusting work schedules as needed to meet project goals and objectives.
- Work with the Manager of Craft Resources to optimize labor costs, crew mixes, and work assignments.
- Ensure company policies, including safety policies, equal opportunity, and quality standards, are implemented consistently.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of healthcare construction experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes and building codes.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to and from project sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.
- Good understanding of subcontractors' scopes of work and tolerances.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to find and use relationships between data from different sources.
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships, using tact and sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others.
- Professional appearance and conduct, with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
