Job Title: MEP Low-Volt Superintendent

Are you a seasoned electrical superintendent with a passion for MEP low-volt systems? Do you have experience working with general contractors on commercial and healthcare projects? We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Low-Volt Superintendent to join our team at TradeLink Solutions.

About the Role:
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians and engineers on commercial and healthcare projects.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of MEP low-volt systems, including structured cabling, voice, data, and video applications.
  • Ensure compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and National Electrical Code standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
  • Test and troubleshoot MEP low-volt systems, including tone testing, volt-ohm metering, and diagnosing open, shorted, crossed, and split pairs.
  • Install and terminate structured cabling systems, including UTP, STP-A, and fiber optic cables.
  • Build telecommunication closets, including determining equipment layouts, mounting backboards, and installing cross-connects.
  • Install grounding and bonding infrastructure, including local and national electrical code compliance.
  • Pull backbone and horizontal cables, including UTP, ScTP, STP-A, fiber optic, and coax cables.
  • Perform fire stopping, including coring firewalls, installing sleeves, and fire stopping.
  • Organize and supervise the work of assigned job crews, ensuring workmanship meets BICSI, TIA/EIA, and National Electrical Code standards.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as an electrical superintendent or lead electrical technician on commercial and healthcare projects.
  • Expertise in MEP low-volt systems, including structured cabling, voice, data, and video applications.
  • Strong knowledge of BICSI, TIA/EIA, and National Electrical Code standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
