Job Title: Senior CBRN/CWMD Subject Matter Expert II

Job Summary:

This position supports the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J39 Combatting Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Division at the Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, VA.

The incumbent will have in-depth knowledge of the National Guard (NG) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise (CRE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform gap analyses and provide situational awareness on NG CRE capabilities and shortfalls.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and track changes to current doctrine that affects Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policies (DOTMLPF-P) information.
  • Provide recommended updates for changes.
  • Attend domestic operation events, including the Joint Exercise Planning Group, Joint Planning Group, and Continuity of Operations Planning Group.
  • Provide background information papers involving topics such as issues/concerns/impacts of various policies, programs, exercises, and initiatives that support the J39 engagements and Adjutants General from the various states and territories, the Council of Governors and other general officer meetings.

Requirements:

  • Must have a TS/SCI security clearance from the Defense Industry Security Clearance Office.
  • Must have experience working with Defense Threat Reduction Agency and working with the Counter Terrorism Operations Support (CTOS) program.
  • Work in a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) environment within the Department of Defense or another federal agency in a high operational tempo environment.
  • Have experience in using the full suite of MS Office products.
  • Working in a multi-domain environment (air, land, maritime, space, and cyberspace).
  • Writing or contributing to daily, weekly, monthly and annual status reports.
  • Writing operational plans.
  • Developing background information papers, EXSUMs, factsheets, etc.
  • Monitoring and tracking tasks and requests for information received through email, meetings, discussions, and tasker systems.
  • Experience managing projects.

Education:

None required, but a Bachelor's degree or higher is desired.
