Job Summary

The K-16 Collaborative Pathway Facilitator is responsible for providing direct support to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in Lake and/or Mendocino Counties to develop, align and improve high school pathways programs that combine academics, career technical education, work-based learning and comprehensive student support.

The incumbent supports the K-16 initiative grant objectives that prepare middle and high school students to succeed in both secondary and post-secondary education while learning employability skills.

The K-16 Collaborative Pathway Facilitator supports collaboration between stakeholders in the K-16 system to ensure sequential courses align with regional post-secondary pathways, facilitate the use of data to identify existing pathways and gaps among K12 and community colleges, with a focus on education and healthcare pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high school pathways programs that combine academics, career technical education, work-based learning and comprehensive student support.
  • Support the K-16 initiative grant objectives that prepare middle and high school students to succeed in both secondary and post-secondary education while learning employability skills.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the K-16 system to ensure sequential courses align with regional post-secondary pathways.
  • Facilitate the use of data to identify existing pathways and gaps among K12 and community colleges.

Requirements

  • Equivalent graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field, including or supplemented by upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution.
  • Three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience, with one year in the program area to which assigned preferred.
  • A master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse students, as well as first generation, low income, and other underrepresented potential college students.
  • Professional experience developing curriculum for middle school, high school, and/or college students.
  • TRIO program experience preferred.

Benefits

  • Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $5,276 a month.
  • This is a full time, temporary, exempt position funded through June 2026.
  • Annual reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations.
