Job Title: Maintenance Technician

East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance coverage for our properties, performing skilled tasks in the maintenance of rental units, common area facilities, and grounds, and assisting with projects at other properties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide maintenance coverage for our properties, including float between various properties as needed to provide coverage for vacations/leave of absences
  • Work with Maintenance Persons to assist with large projects and train them as necessary
  • Assist with preventative maintenance at properties, ensuring all service requests and unit turnovers are addressed and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Perform janitorial, painting, and repairs to vacant units, and maintain storage and work areas in a neat, safe, and secure condition
  • Inspect grounds, common areas, and structures for preventative and safety measures, and report hazardous or emergency conditions to the Property Manager and Property Supervisor
Requirements:
  • Five to Six years consecutive experience in residential housing maintenance/property management and hands-on experience in the building trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and/or painting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work on a team, and knowledge of Cal/OSHA codes and regulations
  • Capacity to work with a culturally diverse, low-income population, and ability to work independently and to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, and possess a valid California Driver's License and insurance
