Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Covenant House California is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Conduct weekly facility walk-throughs to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of basic building maintenance experience.
  • Good basic maintenance skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, and prioritize well.
  • Basic computer skills and a good driving record for use of agency vehicles.
Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a general business/office environment with frequent exposure to various products and tools that may produce fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
