Job Summary:

Eastern Mennonite University is seeking qualified applicants to teach undergraduate courses in History and Political Science for the fall and spring semesters of the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach in-person undergraduate courses in Comparative Politics, American Politics, U.S. Foreign Policy, International Relations, Law, Justice, and the Local Context, Topics in Political Science, Medieval Europe, and Topics in History.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to students to ensure academic progress and achievement.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of History and Political Science and incorporate relevant topics and issues into course instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in History, Political Science, or a related field.
  • At least 18 hours of graduate work in a related field of study to be eligible to teach each course.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
