About the Opportunity:
The Department of Engineering at James Madison University is seeking a Visiting Professor to join our community of educators. This is a 1-year, non-renewable, non-tenure track position, starting in August 2024.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate who can teach undergraduate engineering courses in areas such as introduction to engineering, statics, mechanics, circuits, and/or engineering management. The position will be ten-month, with opportunities for scholarship, professional development, and service to the department, college, and university.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have a doctorate or expect completion of their doctorate in engineering or a closely related field by the anticipated start date. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate potential to emerge as agile and adaptive educators.
