Account Manager Job Description

At Global Recruiters of Richmond (GRN), we are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to our Employee Benefits Broker Partners and Groups
  • Service Group Benefits accounts following agency systems and procedures and insurance company regulations
  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous service to our insured members, producers, and insurance company representatives
  • Respond to customer and insurance company requests in a professional manner and on a timely basis
  • Review and deliver renewal business quotations
  • Anticipate broker reactions to renewals and provide support and explanation for our renewals
  • Review group performance periodically with Sales Executives
  • Coordinate on-boarding new accounts – including all vendor partners
  • Coordinate various Value-Added Services provided by our TPA/Vendors with customers
  • Provide billing and invoicing support as needed upon request
  • Assist in training other employees at manager's request
  • Backup other positions as necessary
  • Familiarize with and follow agency E&O procedures and guidelines
  • Perform any other projects or duties assigned by management

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years' experience in a consulting, brokerage, or insurance company environment
  • PA Life, Accident & Health Insurance license (or able to acquire within 90 days)
  • Self-Funded experience strongly preferred
  • Hybrid work arrangement, with approximately 2-3 days in the Local PA office per week

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a high level of customer focus, motivation, and follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent prioritization, project management, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Works equally well autonomously or as part of a team
  • Resourceful and inquisitive – learn and understand our clients' businesses
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details
