Position: Server

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

The Loveless Cafe is a renowned establishment with a rich history and a stellar reputation in the Nashville region. We pride ourselves on our Southern hospitality and are looking for individuals with outstanding customer service skills to become part of our team.

Incentives:

We are offering signing bonuses ranging from $100 to $150, distributed within your first two paychecks. Additionally, our servers retain 100% of their tips.

Job Objective:

To efficiently sell and serve food and beverages in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must successfully complete responsible service of alcohol and food training with a minimum score of 90%.
  • Serve 3-4 tables as assigned by management.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation at Loveless Cafe.
  • Effectively sell food and alcohol items.
  • Utilize Upserve for order processing.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and prompt manner.
  • Process various payment types and provide accurate change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the restaurant.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
  • Politely refuse service to underage guests.
  • Monitor guest behavior regarding alcohol consumption and offer assistance if necessary.
  • Ensure all guests receive exceptional service.
  • Consistently strive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Report to work in a clean and professional uniform.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to make change accurately.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Previous experience in a server role is necessary.

Special Requirements:

  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
  • Valid ABC Card.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Capability to carry highchairs weighing up to 20 lbs multiple times per shift.
