Job Title: LPN School Nurse Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated LPN School Nurse to join our team at DeKalb County School District.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide health and medical services to students, promoting a climate of health and well-being in our schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform student health procedures and assist with medication administration.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments and provide tracheostomy care as needed.
  • Communicate with parents, school personnel, physicians, and other agencies on school health matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students.
  • Observe students regularly to detect health needs and provide guidance on modifying education programs.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the lead nurse and principal.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing or equivalent education/training.
  • Minimum one year of practical nursing experience, preferably in pediatric nursing.
  • Valid State of Georgia Practical Nurse license and CPR certification.
