Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Innovative Therapy Concepts, LLC. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation team.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments to patients, working under the direction of and as an assistant to a Physical Therapist.
- Perform manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and heat, light, sound, water, and electrical modality treatments.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as preambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities.
- Observe patients during treatments and compile and evaluate data on patients' responses to treatments and progress.
- Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices.
- Confers with members of the physical therapy staff and other health team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
- Perform clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering phone calls, taking messages, and filling out forms.
- Measure patients' range-of-joint motion, length and girth of body parts, and vital signs to determine the effects of specific treatments or to assist the Physical Therapist to compile data for patient evaluations.
- Monitor treatments administered by Physical Therapy Aides.
- An active and current Physical Therapist Assistant License that allows you to practice in the state in which you work.
- An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients about their condition, treatments, and to communicate with patients' families.
- Compassion and a desire to help patients.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
