Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a profitable book of loss-sensitive casualty business.
- Foster strong relationships with brokers and target accounts.
- Collaborate with actuarial and collateral teams to create effective underwriting programs.
- Drive qualified business flow from designated agencies.
- Make independent underwriting decisions while maintaining thorough documentation.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of products and services.
- Participate in innovative projects aimed at product development and workflow improvements.
Travel Requirement: Approximately 20%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of primary casualty underwriting experience, particularly in workers' compensation.
- Continuing education in the insurance field (e.g., AINS, ARM, CPCU) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverage.
- Established broker relationships in key metropolitan areas to facilitate business growth.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, along with a solid business acumen.
- High energy and enthusiasm for expanding the Northeast territory.
- Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to ethical business practices.
