POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for all facility users. Reporting to the Center Director, this role involves overseeing the construction, repair, and maintenance operations across all departments.

This position is responsible for the upkeep of the facility's environmental, mechanical, and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical lighting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor and maintain the facility's environmental and safety systems, ensuring scheduled preventative maintenance is performed on mechanical and electrical systems.

2. Conduct regular inspections of the Aquatics Department equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

3. Adhere to established protocols for servicing emergency systems, including lighting and HVAC equipment.

4. Respond to facility alarms and system failures, ensuring accurate incident reporting.

5. Comply with all relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations and standards.

6. Supervise maintenance staff, assigning tasks and overseeing project completion.

7. Assist in organizing events and programs within the facility.

8. Collaborate with the Center Director on budget planning for capital replacements.

9. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and training.

10. Provide technical support for repairs and service contracts, ensuring efficient operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or GED required; Journeyman Electrical License preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC maintenance.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Valid California Class C Driver's License required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 70 lbs, standing, bending, and climbing as necessary.
