Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Associate Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the quality assurance processes within our organization. This position involves supporting management in the execution of food safety and quality assurance protocols while leading a team of quality auditors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the quality assurance operations to ensure compliance with industry standards for quality, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Manage and uphold the SSOP, HACCP, and ARC/Donated Commodity programs, ensuring adherence to USDA and company regulations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of statistically driven experiments related to product quality assurance and yield control.
  • Maintain effective communication with the QA Manager to address issues and conditions requiring attention.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping within assigned responsibilities.
  • Provide daily supervision and training for Quality Assurance Technicians.
  • Oversee QA activities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Embrace and promote our Cultural Beliefs through leadership and training.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Science, Agricultural Business, Industrial Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 preferred, or 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or possess authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa.
  • Comfortable with the preparation and consumption of various Hormel Foods products.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary.

Training and Advancement:
Training will be hands-on, including supervisory training and courses in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Control (TQC), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). The Quality Assurance career path offers opportunities for advancement to higher-level management positions within the organization.
