Quality Assurance RN Job Description

Providence is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance RN to join our team. As a Quality Assurance RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of quality initiatives within PHS Oregon.
  • Provide concurrent and retrospective support to manage initiatives in compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid requirements, The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, administrative and program personnel, and third-party payors.
  • Collaborate with physician leadership, Directors, and Managers to develop and implement quality efforts, including preparation, risk monitoring, and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems.
  • Act as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement.
  • Authorize and make decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Serve as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Professional Staff quality and peer review activities.
  • Assist in the development and performance of educational activities related to Quality Improvement, Accreditation requirements, and Resource Utilization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • 5 years of clinical experience.
  • 5 years of hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare, or Business Administration.
  • Adult medical surgical experience.
