Position Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (adjunct) faculty position in Building Inspection Technology. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.


Key Responsibilities

The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean
  • Helping students achieve their academic potential in mastering course content
  • Assessing student learning outcomes
  • Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the field of Building Inspection Technology
  • Continuing professional development
  • Utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties
  • Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics
  • Assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review
  • Serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  1. A bachelor's degree and two years of occupational and/or professional experience directly related to the assignment being taught, or an associate's degree and six years of occupational and/or professional experience directly related to the assignment being taught
  2. An equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
