Plant Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plant Office Administrator. This role will be responsible for promoting safety, operating heavy equipment, inspecting equipment, and maintaining equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities- Promote Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate haul trucks and other construction equipment to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and/or operate a lowboy trailer for transporting equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Vulcan standards. Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy.
- Maintain Equipment: Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and assist in performing other minor maintenance. Report unsafe mechanical conditions to supervisor.
- Monitor Processes, Materials, and Surroundings: Must have the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment to assist with the loading and unloading on the lowboy.
- Experience: Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Must possess a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of common office practices, procedures, and use of office equipment.
- Technology Skills: Must have the ability to use computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices. Must have appropriate typing skills and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must have outstanding communication skills and have the ability to interact well with people in all levels of the organization.
- Integrity: Must act with unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promote company policies, and hold self and other employees accountable.
