We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dish Room Attendant to join our team at the Templin's Hotel and Marina in Post Falls, Idaho.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and other kitchen tools using commercial dishwashers and cleaning equipment.
- Restock clean dishes and equipment after sanitizing.
- Retrieve used food trays and carts from hotel areas throughout the shift as scheduled.
- Complete assigned opening and closing procedures and checklists.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform routine cleaning of kitchen floors, mats, walls, cooking equipment, carts, ceilings, and other kitchen or food service equipment as assigned.
- Use various chemicals to clean and sanitize the kitchen facility, including deep cleaning of equipment, floor mats, dishwashing machine, floors, carts, refrigerators, and counters.
- Sort and remove waste and recycling, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Sweep and scrub floors.
- Provide support to other areas of food services as directed by the manager.
- Provide and maintain a safe environment for all associates and guests.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in hospitality or food preparation is preferred.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment required to perform the job safely.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse population.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic to intermediate ability and experience in computer applications, electronic email, and MS Office applications.
The Dish Room Attendant will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions. The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds is required.
