Food Service Assistant

The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation seeks a skilled Food Service II to provide support to our dining service activities at assigned locations. This role involves preparing and serving food items to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise student employees and ensure they follow food safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.
- Properly store leftover food and potentially hazardous food items, adhering to company recipes and food safety specifications.
- Prepare and pre-portion food products for cooking, utilizing a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils.
- Set up line areas, collect necessary supplies, and assist with catering and special functions.
- Process phone orders, assist customers, and maintain production records in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Clean food preparation and production areas, operate equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of the Unit.
- Replenish products, sweep, and mop work areas as needed.
- Report equipment and service problems, as well as any deficiencies or problems with food or supplies.
To be successful in this role, you should have a high school graduate or equivalent, experience in short order cooking, and knowledge of food service equipment, food handling procedures, and cash handling procedures.
This position requires moderate to heavy lifting, constant standing, bending, and walking, as well as exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, and potentially dangerous equipment.
CompensationThe salary for this position is $15-15 Yearly.
