Food Service Assistant

The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking a skilled Food Service II to provide support to the dining service activities at assigned locations. This role involves preparing and serving food items to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise student employees and ensure they follow food safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.
- Store leftover food and potentially hazardous items properly, adhering to food safety specifications and company recipes.
- Prepare and pre-portion food products for cooking, following established procedures and recipes.
- Set up line areas and collect necessary supplies for menu preparation.
- Utilize kitchen tools and utensils efficiently, including knives.
- Receive and store food requisitions and supplies, and process phone orders and assist customers.
- Assist in catering and special functions, and maintain production records according to departmental procedures.
- Clean food preparation and production areas as assigned, and operate and maintain equipment.
- Manage cash register and perform cash-ups, and replenish products as needed.
- Sweep and mop work areas as necessary, and report equipment and service problems.
- Report any deficiencies or problems with food or supplies, and prepare catering or special event food items as required.
- Attend food safety training as scheduled, and perform other duties as assigned.
A high school graduate or equivalent with experience in short order cooking, food service equipment, food handling procedures, and cash handling procedures is required. Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs., constant standing, bending, and walking, and exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, and potentially dangerous equipment are physical demands of this role.
Compensation details: 15-15 Yearly Salary
