Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Level Engineer to join our Electrical Power Engineering Team at the Naval Reactors Facility. The chosen individual will have the opportunity to:

  • Design, maintain, and repair critical electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, power panels, lighting systems, and backup power systems.
  • Contribute to the development of electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Gather surveys, write reports, and develop documents using Microsoft products.
  • Manage design with National Electrical Codes (NFPA & International Code Council) and ensure design documents are prepared in compliance with these codes.
  • Provide engineering support in areas of expertise and work effectively as a team player with other engineering professionals, crafts trades personnel, management, business developers, and administrative staff.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field, or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with electrical trade work and equipment installations, power systems focus in undergraduate degree, demonstrated effectiveness in working with teams, participation in large scale construction projects, familiarity with electrical power diagrams and schematics, knowledge of CAD software, knowledge of SKM Power Tools software or equivalent, knowledge of NFPA 70 & 70E and familiarity with other industry building codes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $94,900 annually, based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
