Boston Government Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for power generation and distribution projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop electrical design documents and drawings for power generation and distribution systems.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop electrical basis of design and scope of work documents.
- Develop equipment specifications for electrical equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Develop electrical calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Ensure technical accuracy and conformance to project design criteria of engineered work products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry codes and standards, including NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Experience with power analysis design software, such as ETAP and SKM, is highly desirable.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of electrical design experience in energy, power generation, power delivery, and power transmission utilities and/or related industries.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain your PE within the first year of employment in Idaho.
- Successful drug screening.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
- Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
- Significant experience with industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of Building Codes, including NEC.
- Knowledge of IEEE, DOE, and NRC Standards.
- Knowledge of DOE and/or INL nuclear facilities design.
- Knowledge and previous use of Autodesk Revit, ETAP, SKM, and Solidworks Electrical.
