Position Summary:

The Senior Process Improvement Consultant is instrumental in cultivating a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization. By utilizing established methodologies and supporting operational frameworks, this role is essential in driving excellence and analyzing inefficiencies.

This position is tasked with leading initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, cycle times, operational efficiencies, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion the Continuous Improvement Team by mentoring staff and management, promoting behaviors that align with operational excellence.
  • Engage with stakeholders to effectively manage transitions, ensuring commitment and participation throughout the improvement journey.
  • Document and maintain continuous improvement protocols, procedures, and best practices to standardize operations and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Balance immediate operational controls with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Provide training on essential continuous improvement tools and methodologies to empower team members in executing improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate projects aimed at fulfilling business objectives and enhancing operational performance.
  • Support critical activities related to the organization’s transformation and implementation of operational frameworks, including productivity tracking and performance reviews.
  • Employ value stream mapping techniques to optimize information, material, and production flows, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits and serve as the primary contact for employees regarding continuous improvement, waste reduction, and problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement standardized work processes, coaching leaders on practices to ensure operational consistency.
  • Utilize visual management tools to improve transparency, communication, and accountability within the organization.
  • Independently manage projects aimed at resolving operational challenges affecting productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to identify and eliminate process-related barriers.
  • Facilitate workplace organization and efficiency improvements through structured methodologies.
  • Mentor junior Continuous Improvement Specialists, providing expert guidance on complex issues.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and performance benchmarks to identify opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to inform decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
Education & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is required. A combination of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of three years of experience in continuous improvement or process optimization roles is essential. Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

This role involves both office and operational environments, with potential exposure to varying conditions. Physical requirements may include standing, sitting, and occasional lifting. Adherence to safety protocols and practices is mandatory.
