Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Operating Officer to lead the administrative functions of our health system. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the activities of our hospitals and clinics, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the administrative functions of our health system, including budget planning, capital and human resources, and administrative, legal, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance customer service and satisfaction, and improve the overall experience of our staff.
  • Direct the provision of Custody Health Service Medical Services to other County institutions, such as the Department of Correction, The Juvenile Probation Department, and the Department of Social Services.
  • Collaborate with other hospitals, community agencies, and professional organizations to exchange information and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with current concepts in ambulatory and community health services and hospital administration.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
  • Approximately years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital management, with a significant amount of time in a senior management position in a health or hospital system, preferably in a teaching hospital.
  • Strong business acumen, including successful personnel and labor management, problem-solving techniques, project management, and creative resourcefulness.
  • Ability to manage and lead people, think strategically, make good decisions, and balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget.
