This position plays a vital role in supporting the Department of Defense's modernization efforts, ensuring that our scheduling processes align with strategic objectives and operational requirements.

As a Senior Program Scheduler, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that serves as the foundation for our Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Your responsibilities will include daily updates to the project plan, weekly distribution of schedules, and generating insightful reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain a resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that underpins the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Establish and implement scheduling protocols, creating baseline schedules and related documentation to meet project requirements while monitoring and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to produce and maintain an accurate Master Schedule using MS Project, detailing tasks and resources necessary for timely project delivery.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to ensure schedules are current and effectively integrated into the overall Master Schedule.
  • Identify and document dependencies and interdependencies with related projects to facilitate risk management.
  • Highlight major milestones, decision points, and critical project events.
  • Maintain the baseline schedule, tracking changes on a regular basis.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to assess potential impacts on the schedule.
  • Establish and enforce schedule version control processes and ensure compliance during schedule development and maintenance.
  • Facilitate schedule estimation through collaboration with team members and stakeholders to gather input on new work and updates.
  • Promote continuous risk mitigation and issue management through thorough schedule analysis.
  • Generate comprehensive reports comparing planned versus actual progress.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree coupled with 12-15 years of experience in project or program management, specifically in program scheduling.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with a minimum of a Secret clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various functional areas to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Proficient in MS Project and other scheduling tools, with a strong understanding of scheduling principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) frameworks and critical path methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to support EVMS requirements.
  • Experience in baseline change control and IMS configuration management.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining overall responsibility for the Master Schedule.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced defense initiatives or related programs.
  • Familiarity with C4ISR programs and participation in working groups or integrated product teams.
  • Knowledge of linking Microsoft Project with other project management tools.
  • Understanding of Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR systems integration.
