About the Role:
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Caregiver to join our team. As a Lead Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services are provided to our residents. Your leadership skills and ability to motivate and support your team will be essential in creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:
Provide supervisory support to care team members, ensuring attendance, call-offs, and shift requests are managed effectively.
Support team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents, in accordance with their Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.
Assist with meal service in the dining room, coaching team members on hospitality standards during meal service.
Accurately document care and services provided to residents, reviewing care manager documentation throughout the shift and identifying gaps in documentation to coach team members.
Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies, monitoring team member break schedules and durations, and ensuring care managers clock in/out using correct job codes.
Display and encourage flexibility in work schedules, working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
Prepare for shifts by obtaining resident group assignments before care managers arrive, printing, and handing out daily assignment sheets to team members.
Participate in crossover meetings, sharing and receiving pertinent information with/from other Lead Care Managers.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED, strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
Ability to read, write, communicate effectively with care managers, community managers, residents, and family members.
In states where applicable, must maintain applicable certifications.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Medication Management Certificate required, with ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
Demonstrates leadership competencies, ability to delegate assignments, make choices, decisions, and act in the residents' best interest.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, competent in organizational and time management skills, good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Competent in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications, with the ability to learn new applications.
