Clinical Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Lexington Medical Center. As a key member of our business intelligence team, you will be responsible for providing consultation services to all levels of management to optimize clinical utilization of business intelligence applications, reporting tools, and data sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides consultation services to all levels of management to optimize clinical utilization of business intelligence applications, reporting tools, and data sources.
  • Determines and understands cross-functional clinical business needs, issues, and data challenges.
  • Collaborates with internal customers to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that improve patient care, patient safety, staff productivity, or accelerate profitability.
  • Provides hospital departments with the tools, technology, and applications to access clinical, financial, and administrative information on a timely basis.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a clinical field or other related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment; 3 years of experience required as an analyst in IT, BI, Decision Support, or clinical operations/performance improvement area.
  • Proven clinical information analytics experience interpreting/understanding business unit requirements, identifying process improvement opportunities, resolving system problems/issues by implementing/applying appropriate technological solutions.
  • Proven experience with using reporting technologies/tools (e.g., OLAP, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Business Objects, SQL) to develop BI solutions including data extracts, queries, reports, dashboards, scorecards to meet end-user requirements regarding access to system information.
