Job Description

This role requires an exceptional individual who can leverage their expertise to navigate complex legal landscapes, foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike, and demonstrate unwavering commitment to the welfare of migrant farmworkers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent migrant and seasonal farmworkers in Florida, ensuring that their rights are protected and upheld.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, providing empathetic support and expert guidance throughout their journeys.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies that drive meaningful change.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, applying this expertise to inform decision-making and advocacy efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this critical role, you will need to possess:

  • A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience representing migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
  • An appreciation for the complexities of the legal system and a deep understanding of the importance of advocacy in driving social change.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively, yet independently, as part of a dynamic team.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving, coupled with a keen ability to maximize existing resources.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Legal Server software.
