Leading Physician Director of Geriatric Care

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our geriatric care team at ChenMed.
About the Role:
The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our center, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving excellent outcomes. This role involves supervising primary care providers, training and mentoring them to deliver exceptional care, and collaborating with clinical teams to enhance health outcomes for older adults.
This position requires strong leadership skills, a medical degree, and experience in geriatric care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving healthcare delivery and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Train Primary Care Providers: Directly supervise and train primary care providers (PCPs) in assigned centers, maximizing overall core model execution.
- Lead Clinical Teams: Lead care teams consisting of care promoters, care facilitators, and care coordinators for patients able to come to the office.
- Drive Excellent Outcomes: Accountable for maximizing overall core model execution, including improving clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction.
- Mentor and Coach PCPs: Manage, mentor, and coach PCPs in his/her assigned center to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Partner with Center Operations Director: Partner with the Center Operations Director/Market General Manager to drive continued improvement of center financial performance and increase center membership.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty required.
- Current Licensure: Current, active MD licensure in State of employment is required.
- Geriatric Experience: A minimum of 1-year clinical experience in geriatric, adult, or family practice setting preferred.
- Board Certification: Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty is preferred, Board Eligibility is required.
- DEA Number: Must have a current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment.
Compensation:
We offer an attractive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, career development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
