Behavioral Health Professional

As a Behavioral Health Case Manager at the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC), you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support services to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or chemical dependency issues.
Your primary responsibilities will include creating and implementing discharge plans, facilitating group and individual counseling, and developing goal planners with client participation. You will also be responsible for coordinating all aspects of client support and goal planners, including providing and/or coordinating psychiatric treatment, substance abuse treatment, 24-hour support services, and performing acute case management to facilitate client access to food, clothing, housing, medical care, financial assistance, and vocational training or employment.
To excel in this role, you will need a combination of education and experience in social work, psychology, or a related behavioral science field, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work effectively under supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and independently, when necessary.
The salary for this position is $71,662.56 - $79,131.12 annually, offering a competitive compensation package that includes benefits such as dental, life, long-term disability, and medical insurance, as well as an employee assistance program, flexible spending account, ORCA card subsidy, paid time off, and retirement plan.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will also be able to communicate effectively with staff from diverse backgrounds and maintain a safe and clean environment.
