Director of Quantitative Development

Fidelity's Asset Management Division is seeking a Director of Quantitative Development to join their Quantitative Research and Investing Technology (QRIT) Team.

This role is primarily focused on hands-on development and delivery, requiring a combination of strong technical and influencing skills, as well as participation in architecture, design, analysis, and evangelizing activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with quantitative analysts, operations, and peer technology teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include building scalable, reliable, and efficient tools based on sound engineering practices in areas such as portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field, and ~10+ years of hands-on experience developing financial applications and working with investment professionals.

Technical skills include Java, JDBC, Spring Framework, Web Services, Relational Database, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and AWS or Azure Cloud.

The Quantitative Development team is part of Asset Management's Quantitative Research & Investment Technology group that partners with the investment teams on various projects.
