We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Pharmacist to contribute significantly to our mission at AndHealth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding patient care and support to healthcare providers.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services as part of the Patient Management Program.
  • Offer clinical services through established protocols or collaborative agreements when appropriate.
  • Administer therapeutic recommendations and counseling for patients with chronic conditions, including but not limited to asthma, dermatitis, epilepsy, and HIV/AIDS.
  • Stay updated with clinical guidelines and literature relevant to specialty care management.
  • Serve as a reliable resource for health and medication information for both providers and patients.
  • Review patient therapies for potential duplications, interactions, and allergies.
  • Engage actively in the pharmacy's Quality Management initiatives.
  • Report on Quality Improvement Projects across pharmacy locations.
  • Evaluate and suggest medication alternatives and modifications in line with current clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Engagement Specialists to ensure uninterrupted medication access for patients.
  • Review insurance formularies and manage prior authorizations and appeals as necessary.
  • Document all required information in specialty pharmacy software to uphold accreditation standards.
  • Participate in Quality Management Committee activities as needed.
  • Assist in URAC and ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditation processes.
  • Mentor pharmacy interns and students.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Licensure Requirements:

  • PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
  • Valid pharmacist license in good standing in Ohio.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy.
  • BLS/CPR certification required (or must obtain within 1 month of employment).
  • Immunization delivery certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CSP credential preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with technology and adaptability to new systems.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with reliable transportation.

Health Center Requirements (if applicable):

  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • Documentation of MMR immunity or a blood titer.
  • Evidence of Varicella vaccination or a blood titer.
  • Completion of Hepatitis B vaccination series.
  • Influenza vaccination required.
  • COVID vaccination.
