Gift Support Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Advancement team as an Advancement Assistant - Leadership Gifts. This part-time, casual position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior development officers to support leadership giving efforts.
About the JobThe Advancement Assistant will provide critical administrative support to the Director of Leadership Gifts, including data entry, research, and event planning. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
This role requires sensitivity to issues of confidentiality and a commitment to working in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Amherst College values diversity and seeks individuals who are passionate about building relationships with diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Director of Leadership Gifts, including data entry, research, and event planning.
- Work closely with senior development officers to develop strategies for increasing leadership gifts from alumni, parents, and friends.
- Assist with travel and event calendars, coordinate on- and off-campus events, and prepare meeting materials.
- Manage data projects, including LinkedIn searches and maintaining accurate contact information.
- Engage internal and external constituents via phone, email, and in person.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years related experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Sensitivity to issues of confidentiality and a commitment to working in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
This is a part-time, three-year term position with a competitive salary range of $21.78-$24.58 per hour, commensurate with experience. There are no benefits associated with this position.
