Job Title: Ambulatory Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Pharmacist to join our team at OU Health. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for compounding, dispensing, and preserving drugs and medicines under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
  • Maintain and review patient profiles to ensure appropriateness of drug therapy, allergies, interactions, and side effects.
  • Investigate reports of adverse drug reactions and prepare required reports.
  • Advise staff, physicians, and customers on the appropriate use of medications.
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequately maintained and drugs have not expired.
  • Assist with in-service education for hospital staff and pharmacy-related training.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy degree program (Bachelor of Science or Pharm. D).
  • Licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Ph.) by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Certificate as a preceptor by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy when eligible.
