Overview

Oklahoma Heart Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in the state, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and shaping the future of heart care. We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team, working collaboratively with physicians and caregivers to set the standard for excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, safety-focused, cost-effective medication-related care to patients of Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
  • Develop and implement policies and evidence-based practice guidelines, medication use evaluation, and evaluation of new drugs for formulary.
  • Work with staff pharmacists to increase their participation in drug monitoring, pharmacokinetics, and cost containment activities.
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet necessary deadlines.
  • Able to perform the duties of staff pharmacist and supervisor as needed.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor or Pharm D. degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • American Society of Health System Pharmacist Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred.
  • Registered pharmacist with current Oklahoma licensure.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years hospital pharmacy experience or American Society of Health System Pharmacist Pharmacy Practice Residency, specifically an ASHP accredited postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) residency in area of specialty preferred.
Working Knowledge

Able to interpret, assess, compound, and dispense all pharmaceuticals. Knowledge of appropriate drug information sources and general knowledge of word and data processing operations sufficient to perform data entry and generate appropriate reports.
