Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will design and develop building electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across sectors like healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical systems designs based on scope of work and/or client requirements
  • Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of electrical and fire alarm systems
  • Write/edit project specifications
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience in the AEC industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education, and/or commercial buildings
  • Knowledge of electrical calculations, including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop, and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Desired Skills:
  • LEED certification/experience is a plus
  • Educational project design experience is preferred
