Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Delphinus Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced power distribution systems for land and sea applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of innovative power distribution systems, including system-level analysis and trade studies.
  • Provide technical oversight of contractors, reviewing documentation such as electrical and mechanical schematics, test plans, and data packages.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting in laboratory and relevant environments, including the development of test plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop Navy standards for technologies such as batteries, battery management systems, and power system interfaces.
  • Provide electrical engineering support for Navy lithium battery safety certification testing.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical power systems engineering.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Degrees in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering accepted with appropriate experience).
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with power, analog, and mixed signal electronics.
  • Experience with power distribution and grounding of DC and AC power systems and electronics.
  • Experience with energy generation, storage, and conversion technologies (lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, solar arrays, etc.).
  • Experience with renewable energy and hybrid power systems.
  • Experience with wireless power transfer.
