Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects across various market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements.
  • Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.
  • Write/edit project specifications.
Required Experience:
  • You have a minimum of 5 years design experience in the AEC industry.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • You must have experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education, and/or commercial buildings.
  • You have knowledge of electrical calculations, including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop, and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations.
  • You are proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • You have familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
  • You have excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • You have good communication and time management skills.
  • You have interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
  • You are able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desired Skills:
  • You have LEED certification/experience is a plus.
  • Educational project design experience is preferred.
