Position Overview:This role is an executive leadership opportunity within FirstEnergy Service Company, focusing on the Distribution Design and Reliability divisions of the Utility Operations Engineering Services. The position is pivotal in steering organizational goals, policies, and resource management to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership in Distribution Engineering: Direct and oversee the engineering services team, ensuring high performance and a commitment to safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and accountability, driving enhancements across the business unit.
- Complex Problem Solving: Lead intricate engineering analyses related to distribution design, reliability, and planning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet performance expectations and deadlines.
- Financial Oversight: Manage capital portfolio development and analyze budget performance to identify variances.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of utility systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant information systems.
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
