Position Overview:

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for executing essential accounting functions and processes that support our organization and the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

I) Processing payments and issuing checks,

II) Verifying the timely deposit of benefits,

III) Recording all financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring monthly reconciliation of accounts, and generating financial reports,

IV) Reviewing and reconciling expense receipts,

V) Monitoring asset limits for individuals served, maintaining accounts for those exceeding the threshold.

VI) Collaborating with Community Support Coordinators on significant purchases and maintenance requirements for the residences of those we support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

I) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,

II) Competence in QuickBooks,

III) Strong mathematical skills,

IV) Ability to maintain accurate financial records and balance checkbooks,

V) Experience in managing general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable,

VI) Strong organizational skills for record-keeping,

VII) Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with the public, staff, and individuals served,

VIII) Understanding of the organization's mission and values.

Qualifications & Experience:

I) A minimum of an Associate's Degree is required,

II) At least two years of experience in accounts payable and receivable is essential; additional experience may substitute for educational requirements,

III) Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks is mandatory,

IV) Payroll experience is preferred.

Work Schedule & Benefits:

This position is office-based, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.
