Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of all manufacturing activities to meet schedule requirements in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves supervising hourly coordinators and production employees, evaluating and coaching employees to improve performance, and actively supporting the SQDCME Scorecard initiatives in their respective area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the manufacturing process and employees within assigned departments and shifts to meet schedule attainment goals.
  • Develop and execute production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for all SQDCME metrics.
  • Complete daily production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, and establishing priorities.
  • Achieve manufacturing results by appropriately managing labor based on work requirements and communicating clear job expectations.
  • Develop, direct, and manage production employees, training them to properly utilize all equipment and tools.
  • Coach and counsel employees while coordinating and enforcing process controls, company policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Promote a clean, safe work environment throughout the facility.
  • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Consistently update and maintain Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and complete required audits.
  • Lead, promote, and support continuous improvement activities, including the ECO System.
  • Coordinate and support training and onboarding for all new employees.
  • Develop hourly coordinator and employee cross-training plans and maintain skills matrices.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology preferred.
  • Years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control of hazards.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop direct reports, including team building.
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP, and other business software/systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
