Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will assist guests during their arrival and departure, ensuring a positive experience throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests with a warm and genuine greeting, utilizing a positive tone and clear communication to address requests and provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Facilitate the registration process by entering and retrieving data from our computer system, confirming essential details such as guest count and room rates. Promote our brand and marketing initiatives while selecting appropriate accommodations based on guest preferences.
  • Process credit card transactions for authorization and manage cash handling, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Respond promptly to phone inquiries, recording messages and relaying information to guests as needed.
  • Manage guest accounts during check-out, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Handle guest complaints with care, conducting thorough investigations to find effective solutions and negotiate satisfactory outcomes.
  • Maintain composure during high-pressure situations and emergencies, employing sound judgment and discretion.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and the use of calculators.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse customers, demonstrating patience and diplomacy.
  • Capability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential functions.
  • Proficient in using a moderately complex computer system for data entry and retrieval.
  • Adept at recognizing and responding to emergency situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles for various audiences.
