About the Role

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a Welder, you will be responsible for operating welding equipment to build high-quality parts, subassemblies, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an overhead crane to safely maneuver parts into place
  • Adjust welding current to achieve proper weld configurations
  • Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Accurately operate and read measuring devices
  • Assemble and weld various metal parts together
  • Properly position material/parts to be welded
  • Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands
  • Follow verbal and written work instructions, including the ability to read blueprints
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Work in both team and individual settings
  • Regular attendance is required
Requirements
  • 6+ months of welding experience, either through education or work
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Welding Certification through an educational institution, 1+ year(s) of welding experience in a manufacturing industry
