As a Certified Nursing Assistant I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients. Your duties will include providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff, performing tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, or changing linens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to maximize successful customer outcomes and unit function.
  • Precept team members on job functions.
  • Orient patients to hospital environment and routine.
  • Attend and serve on one unit committee or educational peer opportunity to improve quality and/or engagement.
  • Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN in a timely manner for follow-up.
  • Provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Label and deliver specimens per policy.
  • Maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
  • May perform other duties upon request.

Benefits:

  • $40,000 - $50,000 annual salary based on experience.
  • Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
  • Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
