Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at University Medical Center of El Paso. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with communication or swallowing disorders.

About the Role
  • Provide independent and consistent delivery of quality care to patients in accordance with individual needs, physician orders, department policies, and standards of practice.
  • Evaluate patients, plan, implement, and document treatment programs accurately.
  • Cordinate treatment with physical and occupational therapy when appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families on effective communication and swallowing techniques.
RequirementsSkills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology principles and procedures.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Show problem-solving ability to determine best methods for addressing patient problems.
Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in related field is not required, however experience in speech-language pathology is preferred.
  • Current Texas license and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist are required.
Education and Training
  • Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology or equivalent education if trained outside of U.S.

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
