Salary Information
The salary range for this role is approximately $75,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for performance-based pay and benefits packages.
Job Description
Role Mission:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is a key member of the Special Programs team at IDEA Public Schools. As an SLP, you will partner with regional instructional leaders, campus leaders, and teachers to maximize student outcomes. Your primary responsibilities include assessing students' communication disorders, developing and implementing speech therapy plans, and tracking student progress towards team goals.
You will be responsible for creating powerful learning environments and planning purposeful therapy to close gaps in communication and academic skills. Additionally, you will analyze data to intervene and adjust therapy, seeking excellence as an educator and IDEA team member.
This role involves minor travel between assigned campuses and requires collaboration with other professionals to ensure 100% implementation of extensive knowledge and provision of top-quality speech therapy services.
Educational Requirements:
- Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
- National Certification of Clinical Competence granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders
- Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of communication disorders
- Excellent presentation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
