Pediatric Front Office Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team at Village Health Partners / Village Pediatrics, now a part of Catalyst Physician Group. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced primary care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check patients in for appointments and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and document patient information in EMR
  • Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances upon check out
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and efficiently
  • Schedule follow-up appointments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas
  • Address patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Back Office Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules
  • Review presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriately
  • Obtain vital signs and prep patient for visit
  • Fluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
  • MA certification preferred but not required
  • Pediatric experience a plus
  • 1 year experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • EMR experience required - Athena preferred
  • Superior customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations
