Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Scientist (Compliance) to join our team in Richmond, VA. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing environmental compliance services for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental inspections and reporting under the VPDES program.
  • Develop and audit Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
  • Collaborate with federal and state agencies on wetlands, erosion control, and stormwater compliance.
  • Monitor Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Virginia Water Protection (VWP) construction activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in Erosion and Sediment Control and/or Stormwater compliance is preferred.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
